OPEN WATER DIVE COURSE

PART TIME : $390.00 (Sat-Sun Over two weekends)

Your Learn to dive course with Pro Dive Cronulla will include a pool session, two days diving in the ocean with a total of four SCUBA dives and a day of theory revision. Each day will be structured as below.
On your first day
Please bring along your Medical form completed by a doctor. Two passport sized photo’s for your diving license and your manual and dive tables. Modules 1 through to 5 must be studied and Knowledge Reviews completed. All courses will be rung the week before the start date and any further information will be brought to your attention. If you have not received a call at least three days before your course starts please call us on 95442200 to confirm your details.
Knowledge Review Session
Our Knowledge section of the Open Water course is home study based and you are required to complete all five knowledge reviews from your Open Water manual prior to the commencement of your course. Our classroom is situated above our shop and you will be asked to meet in the shop before we take you up stairs. Any questions you may have to do with your home study, your instructor will help you with in our classroom. If you are unable to complete your knowledge reviews before your start date than a transfer fee will apply for another start date as we need to consider all students on the course have a fun and an opportunistic experience.
Your theory day will consist of watching the PADI Open water course DVD’s, an instructor review of your home study and a quiz for each section. You are required to bring along your manual and dive table for your theory sessions.
Confined Water Dives
Our usual pool location is Caringbah Leisure Centre at 9 Jacaranda Rd Caringbah. If there is a pool location change then you will be advised before the pool day. In the pool your instructor will ask you to do some waterman ship skills. Being a 200m swim and a 10 minute tread water. Please understand that this is not a race as there are no time limits for the swim. Instead we ask that you simply pace your self comfortably. Then it will be time to don your SCUBA equipment and practice getting used to being under the water and using your equipment.
The Ocean Days
Each ocean day, you will do two Open water dives. Your first dive will simply be used as an introduction to the underwater world where you can start to adjust to diving by blowing bubbles and swimming with the fish. Each successive dive will include some dive skills which you have previously learnt in the swimming pool after dive four you will return back to our dive center and complete your log books and certification details.
Congratulations
At the conclusion of your course you will receive your PADI Open Water license which is the most recognized diving license in the world. Your license will have your photo on it and you will be able to access a huge majority of dive sites all over the diving world. Once you have completed this course there are lots of other opportunities to enhance your diving skills and interests.
