Cleanup Australia Day 2006

This year we held our Cleanup Australia Day at Kurnell National Park.

Thankyou to all the volunteers that turned up and made our day a great success. We have cleaned up this particular site a few times over the years. Although there was a lot of rubbish collected, the good news is that the site (especially under water) has definitely  improved in cleanliness.

Amongst our finds was a green dive fin that a diver from another group eventually owned up to (bad luck Steve)

And a special congratulations to Lita for managing to loose her cleanup bag on the dive.

We had 25 helpers in total and finished up our day with a traditional BBQ on a Sunny Sunday in the park.

Thanks again to every one who participated for making it such a great day!
